Arnolfian itineraries

Arnolfian itineraries have been created for the exhibition so as to provide greater knowledge of the works attributed to Arnolfo. They reconstruct the historical-artistic context of Florence between the 13 th and 14 th centuries.
Itineraries can be modified according to visitors' needs .

Arnolfo's works

The last two decades of the 13th century mark the economic and demographic height of Florence when great public works were undertaken that marked a new urban design; the most important works of the period were designed by exceptional personalities such as Arnolfo di Cambio.

Life at the time of Arnolfo

In the years of Arnolfo between the 13th and 14th centuries notable provisions were made in the fields of urban development and construction: great civil and religious architecture considerably renewed the architectonic culture and left a permanent mark on the urban landscape. The Arts, and in particular the Art of Wool, provided the city with a period of great economic prosperity .
